Bizarre and Disgusting Behavior from Hospitality Guests #5
Oh, dear FavorFlav readers… The miserable, filthy hospitality practices of some guests just never seem to stop. After many of your reactions to the previous disgusting article, we’ve once again collected enough nastiness for what is now the 5th (!) edition. Here we go.
Fingernails
This time, something stood out in the reactions: fingernails. Donny says that he was sitting at a Greek restaurant and saw the owner clipping his toenails at the table. Chantal also witnessed a man clipping his wife’s nails while she was eating a pancake. Oh man, how gross is this.
In the planter
From vomiting in the urinal in the previous edition to vomiting in the planter; why do people do this?! Apparently, guests find the strangest places to get rid of that beer they’ve consumed one too many of. Also disgusting according to Anelle: guests who urinate against the back entrance for staff. Disrespectful!
Nose-blowers
You’ve just done your absolute best to set the table beautifully, perfectly crisp with starched white linen, and then there are guests who shamelessly sit there blowing their noses into the napkins. It happened to Jennifer. And at Verginie’s, the person then stuffed it into a long-drink glass as well. ULGH.
The definition of disgusting
What is it with those toes and feet? Having breakfast with bare feet, picking between your toes and then taking a bite with the same hand, without cutlery. If this isn’t the definition of disgusting, I don’t know what is anymore.
Wet fork
And I experienced another one myself this week. This time on the terrace. The man next to us had ordered a delicious lemon meringue pie. But not just for himself. The dog got a bite every now and then too. Drooling and licking the fork, the piece of pie first went into the dog’s mouth, after which the man himself took a bite. This ritual was repeated until the pie was gone. Sharing is caring, but eating from the same fork as your dog? No thanks.
