Brouwerij ‘t IJ in Vondelpark

We could already go to Amsterdam East for a beer from Brouwerij ‘t IJ in their own tasting room, where the well-known De Gooyer windmill stands. Great, but if you don’t live in that area, it’s quite a bike ride. Starting next year, Brouwerij ‘t IJ will officially open its doors at the former Blauwe Theehuis in Vondelpark.

Brouwerij ‘t IJ has already taken over the Blauwe Theehuis this week, along with the entire staff, and the opening hours are already being extended a little so you can still sit in the sun on the terrace after 8:00 p.m. However, renovations will take place in winter. Not too many, because the Blauwe Theehuis is a listed monument and will therefore certainly remain recognizable.
Focus on beer
The biggest difference will be visible on the menu. Next year, you can still enjoy coffee and tea at the tea house, but many more beers will be served. And unlike the tasting room in East, the Blauwe Theehuis will serve more than just bar snacks to accompany your beer.
