Cat Winslow Plays the Piano When He’s Hungry
In this heat, he does nothing but lie on the floor, panting, but normally my cat—Prince—always follows me into the kitchen. Hoping to get something to eat, he walks in front of my feet, rubbing his head against them. Life-threatening with an open flame and hot pans. The 7-year-old male cat ‘plays’ the piano when he’s hungry. His owner Kate Nyx shared a video of it on Twitter:

That animals resemble their owners and vice versa is clear enough. Kate is a musician, after all. And Winslow has obviously taken over that hobby. Although it sounds more like a protest song.
Just a little longer
In the video, he enthusiastically bats at the keys with his paw. He then does a half eyeroll when Kate asks, ‘Is it time for dinner?’ You can see him thinking: DUH, but he politely answers with a little ‘meow’. ‘When is it dinnertime?’ Kate asks, to which Winslow responds with a long meow (meooooow). ‘That’s indeed not nooow.’ He still has to wait ‘a bit’—two more hours.
Cat litter box
Kate bought the mini piano a long time ago, when she was in high school. Winslow had been intrigued by the instrument since he was a kitten. Because he often meowed loudly, Kate taught him to play the piano whenever he wanted attention. And it works. Maybe even a little too well, because he uses the piano not only for food, but also to let her know that his litter box needs freshening up.
Rock ’n’ roll
Kate adopted little Winslow when he was 8 weeks old. She found him in her niece’s garden, where he was trying to fight a dog. A rock ’n’ roll artist through and through, that Winslow.
