Caution advised: Albert Heijn warns of shards of glass in beer

Albert Heijn

Albert Heijn has issued an important safety warning. This time, it concerns beer sold by the store; Texelse Bierbrouwerij is recalling bottles of Texels Skuumkoppe containing 75 cl. There is a chance that glass fragments from the rim of the bottle may come loose and end up in the product.

Have you bought Texels Skuumkoppe? Check the back label carefully. The recall concerns Texels Skuumkoppe 75 cl. with EAN code 8717903630600 and a best-before date of 22-12-2022, both of which are listed on the back of the bottle.

Purchase price refunded

Customers who have bought the product are therefore urgently requested not to finish the bottle, but to return it to an Albert Heijn store, where they will be refunded the purchase price upon handing in the product.

Texelse Bierbrouwerij regrets the situation and apologizes for the inconvenience. ‘Safety and quality have always been our highest priority, and we carry out quality checks very regularly. We therefore deeply regret that this product does not meet our high quality standards and have initiated this recall. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,’ says Cor Honkoop, Director of Texelse Brouwerij.
