Caution: Calvé peanut sauces may contain pieces of rubber

Since it’s still perfect barbecue weather, you might have been planning to make chicken satay with peanut sauce tonight. Or perhaps you put peanut sauce on everything (mmm, delicious with sambal!). In that case, be sure to check your pantry, because Unilever is recalling two types of Calvé peanut sauce from stores as a precaution.

This specifically concerns Calvé Mild Peanut Sauce and Calvé Spicy Peanut Sauce. Due to a technical error during the production of Calvé Mild Peanut Sauce and Calvé Spicy Peanut Sauce, the product may contain pieces of flexible rubber. As a precaution, Unilever has decided to remove all potentially affected products from the market. This concerns 350- and 650-gram jars with a best-before date up to and including 15/05/2023.
