Celebrate Love with Sausage

Say it with flowers? Thanks for being there? No way, this year you’re declaring your love with a sausage. A heart-shaped Valentine’s sausage with truffle, to be precise.

Marks & Spencer has launched a real Valentine’s sausage: 460 grams of sausage, shaped like a heart and wrapped in bacon. Plenty of it, nice and fatty, deliciously meaty and wonderfully affordable because it costs £5 each. Romance at its finest.
That such a juicy Valentine’s sausage would get the internet talking was to be expected (and probably the point). “Someone in marketing must be very pleased with themselves for managing to sneak this past their boss,” someone tweeted.
Love potion
According to Marks & Spencer, it’s the “ultimate meaty delight for Valentine’s breakfast in bed”. Because who wouldn’t want to start the day with a heart-shaped, aphrodisiac (because: truffle) sausage.
Oh, and vegans who want nothing to do with a thick sausage: you haven’t been forgotten either. The supermarket chain is offering a heart-shaped beetroot burger for you.
Sound good? Then you’ll have to make a quick trip to England. The things you do for love…
