Chef’s (R)evolution, one of the culinary events of the year, will take place in Zwolle for the third time on September 18 and 19. The organization is once again in the hands of Jonnie and Thérèse Boer of three-Michelin-starred restaurant De Librije.

What can you expect?  Impressive cooking demonstrations led by international top chefs such as Virgilio Martinez and Mauro Colagreco, a wine and food palace hosted by the crème de la crème of Dutch restaurateurs, cooking competitions and wine workshops.

You can also meet thirty (wine) farmers and suppliers of Jonnie and Thérèse.  Naturally, there will be plenty to taste.

HillBilly Contest

A special feature is the HillBilly Contest. Jonnie Boer personally selected the cooking talent for this competition. Participants are Jeroen Brouwer, Thijs Meliefste, Jim de Jong, Guillaume de Beer, Nicky Quarz and the 2014 winner Willem Schaafsma.

The chefs must first collect the ingredients themselves from De Librije’s suppliers. The next day, they must use them to prepare a dish on the Big Green Egg. Jonnie Boer, three-Michelin-starred chef Gert de Mangeleer and journalist Mac van Dinther will choose the winning dish. The prize? A Big Green Egg XXLarge.
