Cognac cocktail: Hennessy Ginger

The world’s best-selling cognac Hennessy is celebrating its 250th anniversary this year. A reason for FavorFlav to pause and reflect on this beautiful drink. But not in the standard way. We’re moving away from the classic recipe and serving you this spicy cocktail.

Put 4 small pieces of ginger in a shaker and add 2 orange wedges and 1 lime wedge. Then add 10 ml sugar syrup and 3 or 4 dashes of Angostura bitters. Add 50 ml Hennessy and shake over ice until the mixture is thoroughly chilled. Strain into the glass, top up with Fever Tree Ginger Ale and garnish with an orange wedge studded with pieces of clove.
