Corona news: these lovely restaurants and bars in 020 now deliver to your home too

Stay home & be safe. That is, of course, the most important thing right now. But naturally, we all have to eat. And preferably something healthy and delicious too. Is your fridge starting to look rather empty? Then check out the list below and order your lunch or dinner online from these restaurants. Oh, and good news: by having a meal delivered to your home, you’re helping hospitality entrepreneurs out – and Uber Eats will be delivering free of charge for the coming period!

With a star
Even though the Rijksmuseum is closed, Joris Bijdendijk and his team at RIJKS are still rocking the kitchen for home delivery. An excellent idea, we think. Because now that we’re staying indoors, we obviously don’t have to live on frozen pizzas. You can order RIJKS via Deliveroo and UberEats. We tried it first, and here you can read our review of RIJKS at home.
Burgers
Did you know that they make the most divine juicy burgers at THE BUTCHER? You can choose from sixteen different burgers and vary endlessly with the heavenly toppings. Our recommendation: the truffle burger. And order some side dishes right away, such as popcorn chicken and sweet potato fries. Order THE BUTCHER’s burgers via Deliveroo or Thuisbezorgd.
Vega(n)
The vegan shelves in the supermarket are also starting to look rather bare, but help is at hand for vegans and anyone who simply enjoys eating delicious meat- and fish-free food. The Vegan Junk Food Bar is continuing as usual in Amsterdam (and Rotterdam) and delivers to your door.

Over the coming weeks, you can also order the colorful, healthy bowls and sushirittos from Poké Perfect . From the Vegan Original Bowl, in which the vegan salmon is almost indistinguishable from real salmon, to the Sriracha Tuna with a cucumber salad and iced tea on the side. Check the delivery page on the website for more information and order via Uber Eats or Thuisbezorgd.
NENI too, the Eastern Mediterranean restaurant where you can eat the best falafel in Amsterdam according to FavorFlav’s Sharon, is open for takeout and delivery. NENI will make us happy from Thursday through Sunday, and if demand is high, more days will be added. Between 12:00 and 17:00, you can pick up the freshest breads downstairs at the NENI Bakery. From a selection of focaccia, nut bread, olive bread and more, to delicious sweets. From 17:00 to 21:00, they join forces with Thuisbezorgd, Deliveroo and UberEats for the pickup of various mezze, such as baba ganoush, labaneh and hummus, or hot dishes such as the famous popcorn falafal and sabich.

Vessel kitchen&bar in Amsterdam’s Houthavens has also become a so-called dark kitchen. And that is good news, because chef Ricardo van Ede is an absolute boss in the kitchen, and you certainly won’t be able to wipe the grin off your face when you taste one of his creations. The vegetarian dishes in particular are irresistible! Take a look at the website and call 020-2461599 to place an order.

Pizza
A good start to your evening is half the battle. And pizza always guarantees such a good start. From Wednesday onwards, you can get your portion of pizza, natural wine and cava at all-time favorite pop-up pizzeria Klaproos in Amsterdam-Noord.
Cheese board
That’s right! You can now also order a delicious cheese board or cheese fondue (!), with or without wine, for the perfect night out at home. The cheese affineurs at Bourgondisch Lifestyle have put together a number of wonderful packages. In Amsterdam (within the ring road), your order will be delivered by refrigerated cargo bike by bicycle courier service TringTring. How about a Burgundian fondue with a bottle of Arneis (white wine), 2 petit baguettes and an Italian salami? Mmm! And if you live outside Amsterdam, the package will be shipped in a refrigerated polystyrene box.
Drinks
Even more good news: Flying Dutchmen Cocktails is going to deliver to your home. That is precisely what we need! From Thursday onwards, the tastiest cocktails (with and without alcohol), beer, wine, champagne and mixes such as gin&tonic, genever&ginger ale and rum&cola (including ice and garnishes) will be delivered via Uber Eats and Deliveroo between 17:00 and 01:00.

Need even more tips? Last weekend, Gault&Millau launched a special takeout page, which is continuously updated. What Gault&Millau recommends is top-notch nine times out of ten. I’ve already entered my location to see which delicacies I can bring home. Check your options here.
Safety first!
Let’s all do home delivery once this week (or twice or three times), because every little bit helps. To make deliveries as safe and hygienic as possible, the Dutch Association of Meal Delivery Services has taken additional measures:
- Delivery takes place without contact; cash payments are not possible
- Delivery drivers wash and disinfect their hands every time before leaving and upon returning from a delivery.
- During delivery, the procedure is as follows:
– the delivery driver rings the doorbell,
– places the insulated delivery bag on the ground in front of the door with the order on top,
– keeps a distance of two metres.
– as soon as the recipient has accepted the order, the delivery driver says goodbye and continues working - Delivery staff do not come into contact with staff in the production area
- In case of flu symptoms, a cold, coughing, sneezing and/or a fever, delivery drivers and kitchen staff are sent home immediately.
Incidentally, picking up orders from hospitality establishments, including restaurants and cafeterias, is permitted after all, contrary to the measures announced earlier. But avoid crowds, make sure you do not stand close together with other people, and take your food and drinks home.
