Culinary festival BITE of Amsterdam: what to expect

From 31 May through 2 June, the three-day culinary food festival BITE of Amsterdam (formerly Taste) will take place. Join your favourite (star) chefs in Amstelpark, including Alain Caron (Café Caron), Bas van Kranen (Flore**) and Soenil Bahadoer of Restaurant de Lindehof** in Nuenen, enjoy drinks on one of the many terraces and immerse yourself in an extensive programme of workshops, masterclasses, demonstrations and tastings.

Aren’t culinary festivals the best festivals? Enjoy delicious food (and tastings) all day, take part in tastings and do some shopping at the culinary market on your way home. Beam us up!
Chef’s Table
The dishes from the restaurants at BITE of Amsterdam are priced between €7.50 and €12.50. Around 25 top Amsterdam restaurants will serve their signature dishes in attractively priced tasting portions. This way, you can sample all your favourite restaurants or discover future favourites in an accessible way. Of course, you can also take a seat at an extensive Chef’s Table — several Michelin-starred restaurants from outside the city will also be happy to welcome you. Choose a three-course lunch or dinner and literally get a look inside the kitchen. These iconic dishes are limited-edition creations, giving the chefs free rein with their ingredients and allowing them to charge more than €12.50 for the dish.
Workshop Pavilion
In addition to (very!) good food and drinks, you can also take part in all kinds of activities, such as a beer or wine tasting, various workshops in the Workshop Pavilion, or the ongoing programme of masterclasses and demonstrations in the Cooking Theatre. At the culinary market, you’ll find delicious artisanal products and beautiful kitchen products. Then settle down on one of the many terraces, where people enjoy drinks and dance until the sun goes down.
