At Zadelstraat, peanut butter fanatics can indulge themselves. There are at least twelve flavours for sale, such as garlic fried onion, chilli lemongrass and coffee sea salt. You may have seen the jars before, as they are sold throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. Back to Utrecht. The shop also offers all kinds of peanut butter inspiration. But the very best thing about the shop is undoubtedly the peanut butter fountain.

And what do you do with all that peanut butter? Spread it over your freshly baked, crusty slice of bread, of course. And we get that from Bond & Smolders, Molenbeek bakery (in Utrecht’s oldest shop building) or KEEK’s kitchen, but we’re also happy to take a little detour for De Veldkeuken or Vroeg in Bunnik.
