Duvel honors the tradition of brewing beer and tattooing with an amazing new glass

Since 2007, family-owned brewery Duvel has regularly joined forces with top artists to create amazing limited-edition Duvel glasses. This time, tattoo artist Morrison Schiffmacher had the honor of designing a new collector’s item entirely in her own style.

Source of inspiration

Morrison Schiffmacher, who follows in the footsteps of her father Henk Schiffmacher (one of the best-known tattoo artists in the Netherlands), was a perfect match for Duvel thanks to her exceptional talent and respect for tradition. Morrison can tattoo like no other—and that’s hardly surprising when you consider that, as a young child, she already sat on her tattooing father’s lap. For this unique design, she was inspired by the story that only one in every 100 Duvel bottles features not only a devil but also a little angel on the label.

“The Duvel glass is so distinctive and iconic; I felt honored to be asked to come up with a design,” says Morrison. “I’m a fan of Flemish artists and the city of Antwerp, and I immediately delved into the history of Duvel and the glass. My design doesn’t show the contrast between good and evil, but rather the interplay between them—the connection between the devil and the angel. A metaphor for life, and therefore also for an evening at the pub.”

Limited edition

The Duvel glass designed by Morrison is available at almost all supermarkets and liquor stores and can be purchased as a gift pack, including 4 bottles of Duvel, as a limited edition for just €6.99.
