Easily Put a Christmas Dinner on the Table in 1.5 Hours

Putting a Christmas dinner on the table for the whole family or group of friends. While one person has been collecting recipes since summer, another is already stressed at the thought of planning a menu and doing the grocery shopping. Do you belong to the latter category? Then HelloFresh’s Christmas Box is the solution.

The popular meal box continues to take care of your weekly groceries, but they pull out all the stops during the holidays. Cooking at Christmas is, of course, also a little more stressful than cooking on any random Tuesday evening. The Christmas Box takes away a very large part of that stress for you. The only thing you still have to do yourself is cook—and even that is made very easy for you.
Impressive Four-Course Dinner
The box contains everything you need to conjure an impressive four-course dinner onto the table. I was allowed to test the Christmas Box in advance and honestly, it doesn’t get any easier. I have nothing against an elaborate dinner, and the most complicated part is always the timing. When do you start which step? Do you put the dessert in the oven first, or the main course after all? What can you prepare a day in advance? HelloFresh comes to your aid, because the box contains a timeline that clearly shows which steps you carry out and in what order.

Setting the Table
If you cook continuously, you’ll be finished within an hour and a half to two hours, but if you really don’t want to stress on the day itself, you can prepare a lot of it in advance. This is also indicated for every step. Another nice touch: the box contains beautiful menus that you can simply cut out and put on the table. You also receive a number of place cards, each with a conversation topic or fun question on the back. No awkward silences, then, with that one uncle you haven’t spoken to in a year.
Lightning-Fast
The most important thing, of course: How is the food? From the salmon tartare with crème fraîche and herb oil to start, to the passion fruit Eton mess for dessert, everything was delicious and really easy to prepare. The second course is a delicious romanesco soup (romanesco is related to cauliflower), which is also ready in no time. You get ready-made meringues for the Eton mess, and the turkey roulade for the main course is already filled with cranberries and wrapped in Parma ham. The cranberry chutney that goes with it only needs to be heated with a little water. Thanks to all those little details, the menu is ready in no time without compromising on flavour. Sorry, but I’ve genuinely never managed four courses in an hour and a half before.
Would you rather spend Christmas talking to your friends and family than toil away in the kitchen for hours? Are beads of sweat already appearing on your forehead when you think about the enormous crowds at the butcher’s and supermarket during the holidays? No stress—you simply order the Christmas Box. Want to stop worrying about anything altogether? Then you can also order the Wine Box with matching wines. And if you really don’t want to deviate from that gourmet tradition, there’s also a Gourmet Box. Nice, right? HelloFresh has thought of everything, so you don’t have to.
