Easy One-Pan Dishes

We love everything about cooking, except the washing-up. Yet at the end of many cooking sessions, far too many pans, mixing bowls and spatulas have often become dirty. You make all these dishes in one pan, which saves a lot of hassle.

Cardamom chicken with rice
This recipe by Ottolenghi is something we often make when we have guests over but do not want to cook anything too complicated. Super-crispy chicken thighs and rice that absorbs all the flavours of cardamom, cinnamon and the chicken. Sprinkle plenty of fresh herbs over it at the end and your guests will be amazed.

Sausages
In this recipe with sausages and warm potato salad, the meat also imparts a great deal of flavour to the rest of the dish. The fact that everything is braised in beer can only help.

harira

Harira
Moroccan spicy soup that is incredibly filling thanks to the lentils and chickpeas. But a little extra pita or Lebanese flatbread for dipping never hurts.

Roast chicken
Okay, not a pan, but everything does go into a roasting dish at once. That counts too, right? This chicken by Jamie Oliver can simply be roasted with potatoes and various types of vegetables for an easy meal.

Chilli lime salmon
This is also a case of everything in one roasting dish, into the oven, and half an hour later you have a complete meal. The salmon is slightly spicy but not too much, with the perfect sweet-and-sour balance from honey and lime. You serve it with potatoes and green beans, which you bake together with the salmon.
