Eating outside your comfort zone. That’s what you do with EatWith, a social dining concept that brings lovers of good food and good company together all over the world.

The idea behind EatWith is that in almost every major city in the world, you can join people at home for a homemade dinner. It’s a restaurant visit, but much more social, because you sit at the table with a group of strangers. Another option is to go with a group of friends. Private dining, but very accessible.

You don’t know who you’ll be spending the evening with. Of course, that can turn out very well or very badly, but at least you know you have something in common: a love of food and a little adventure. At the very least, you’ll come away with a good story.

What you do know in advance is what you’ll be eating during the evening. In the app, you’ll find a description of what the chef has in store for you, such as a little heart and art and Balkan feast in Harlem. You’ll also see atmospheric images from previous dinners, a snapshot of the chef and the dishes you can expect during the evening.

The price for the evening, including a three-course dinner, can range from 25 euros to around 50 euros. To make choosing a little easier, reviews from previous guests are included. That way, you’ll have an even better idea of what you can and cannot expect.

Tip:

Book your dinner through the app during your next city trip.
