Potato masher

Tourists take one home to their own country as a curious souvenir. And that’s while, here, the true art of potato mashing is rarely practiced anymore. We prefer reaching for the ricer when we want to make mash. That is, if we even make mash. Still, the nostalgia of lump-free mashing is an invaluable part of eating mashed potatoes.

Potatoes, hot milk, a load of butter, and some salt. That’s all the masher needs to prepare pure comfort food. A calming activity that also drives away aggression. Even when something other than hot potatoes is being flattened.

Available at the household goods store.
