Damrak Gin

Five years ago, it was only for insiders, and now it’s at the top of everyone’s mind. But who’s to blame, because we still can’t get enough of a good gin.

And we keep discovering new varieties, too. Damrak Gin, for example.  With 17 flavorings, there’s quite a lot to taste. Cinnamon, for instance, but also juniper, anise, coriander and orange. Quite exotic for a gin with this name, but don’t forget that these spices used to be transported in overcrowded ships to the heart of Amsterdam.

No tonic

We find those warm spices extra delicious when the rain is pouring down. Then we simply skip the tonic and make, for example, this negroni with Damrak or this spicy punch. Seems ideal for those lovely evenings that are on their way.

You can buy Damrak Gin, among other places, here and here.
