With the Food for All app, you can order food from restaurants at 80 percent off. How is that possible? You get the leftovers that weren’t sold.

Of course, all restaurants aim to sell the number of covers planned for each evening, but naturally there are times when that doesn’t happen. The result? Perfect meals end up in the bin, which is a terrible shame, of course.

A solution to food waste

In the United States alone, 40 percent of all food produced is wasted, and the same issue is a daily reality in the Netherlands. Food For All aims to combat food waste. In the future, the app is intended to allow you to order leftover meals.

Kickstarter

A pilot and a Kickstarter campaign are currently underway to develop the app. We can only hope that the funding comes through and that this idea makes its way to the Netherlands.
