FEBO opens Maison FEBO for one day

What could be more romantic than feeding each other by candlelight and violin music… a bitterball?! One filled with pure chocolate, of course. You can do just that this Valentine’s Day at FEBO’s exclusive one-day restaurant.

Maison FEBO
Especially for Valentine’s Day, FEBO on Amsterdam’s Stadionplein will be transformed into a warm love nest. A loving tribute to the first FEBO location, opened before the war by pastry chef Johan Izaäk de Borst: Maison FEBO. Especially for Valentine’s Day, a family cookbook from that era has been taken out of storage to reveal the secret recipe for the chocolate croquette.

Table service
This delicious bonbon, dressed up as a bitterbal, is made from melted 70% bars by sustainable brand Hands Off My Chocolate and enriched with flour, butter and whipped cream. It is the satisfyingly filling finale to a real three-course Valentine’s dinner, with a mini croquette trio as an appetizer and a grilled burger as the main course. The best part is that you don’t have to walk up to a hatch yourself, because you’ll be served at a set table. Naturally, matching drinks are served too: from cola to Fanta and, of course, a milkshake.

Romance at home
FEBO fans can make a reservation for February 14, but there are only a limited number of places. If you and your intended miss out, raise the atmosphere at home with a festive delivery meal from Thuisbezorgd or Deliveroo, because with every order you’ll receive six chocolate bitterballen in Valentine’s packaging for free on Valentine’s Day.
