Food fashionistas, we have news! Following the Furry slippers and FEboxer from Febo, there’s another new food clothing collection. This time from supermarket Lidl—and we’re fans!

Supermarkets launching a clothing line: it’s a trend. While Lidl already scored a hit last year with their one and only Lidl socks, the slippers, T-shirts and boxers from supermarket Aldi also flew out of stores less than a month ago. Now it’s time for Lidl to expand, and since yesterday the stores have been packed with a new batch of socks, flip-flops, T-shirts and sneakers. None of the items cost much, by the way. You can get the flip-flops and T-shirt for just 4 euros, the sneakers for 15 euros, and the socks cost only 1 euro. “It is permitted to wear these socks with flip-flops and sandals. They’re simply too fabulous for anything else, right? No festival, but still shine. Be the hero in Lidl socks,” says Lidl itself.

Too Lidl, too late
Lidl’s new collection is an outright hit. A supermarket spokesperson tells RTL Nieuws that the items are flying out of stores and are almost sold out. The same goes for the sneakers. They are now being offered for sale on Marktplaats… So all food fashionistas who want to stroll along the boulevard in Lidl flip-flops this summer: be quick and run to the store, or order the items online!
