Friends: the best food moments

I was greeted in the newsroom this morning with the best news in the world: Friends will be on Netflix from January 1. Ten seasons of my all-time favorite series, and that of many others. Partly thanks to the amazing food moments. Here are my faves in a row.

Nestlé Toulousse

When Phoebe gives Monica cookies that are so delicious she spends days at work recreating the recipe. While the solution was actually already in her kitchen cupboard.

Rachel’s trifle

“I wasn’t supposed to put beef in the trifle!” Right, Rachel, right.

We would also throw a temper tantrum if someone had eaten our sandwich, including the moist maker.

The one with all the cheesecakes

In which three of the friends show their ultimate devotion to us. Chandler and Rachel eating cheesecake straight off the floor and Joey, who always turns out to be prepared with a fork in his inside pocket.

When the guys are riding along in a police car and think they hear gunshots, Joey leans over Ross to save him. Later, he admits it was because his sandwich was lying there. Once again: total devotion and we love it.
