Good news for Amsterdammers: how to enjoy your summer holiday in your own city
There is still a small silver lining for all Amsterdammers whose summer holiday plans have fallen through: the Summer Staycation. During this special Hotelnacht edition, Amsterdammers can go on a mini-holiday in their own city at a special rate.

Hotelnacht has been one of my favorite events in the city for years. Because spending a night in a hotel in your own city, at a heavily discounted rate, while checking out all kinds of great bar parties and dinners—I love it! And to give the local hospitality industry a helping hand during these difficult corona times, a special summer holiday edition of Hotelnacht is now being organized.
Brunching and dining at hotel restaurants
Besides staying in the city’s most extraordinary hotels, during July and August you can also make reservations for dinners and brunches at hotel restaurants, and take part in small-scale events at various hotels, museums and theaters. In addition to supporting local hospitality businesses, the organizers also want to give cultural institutions a boost. The holiday program will be announced later.
