speakeasy

Do you prefer everything that’s secret and mysterious? Then Graphite is the restaurant for you. In autumn 2018, Amsterdam’s first speakeasy restaurant will open its doors at a secret location. A treasure hunt for adults.

Who: Graphite
Where: Behind a diamond-cutting workshop in the heart of Amsterdam
When: Autumn 2018

What’s new?

Graphite is the Netherlands’ first speakeasy restaurant – in the 1920s, these were the illegal bars of the American Prohibition era. Not illegal anymore, of course, but still hidden. The spots available for reservation at the restaurant (there are twenty of them) will be released in stages via Graphite’s website. Further instructions will follow. Exciting…

What’s on the menu?

All the ingredients for Graphite’s dishes come from the Netherlands. The menu will have a fresh character, featuring sweet-and-sour flavours, vegetable juices, flowers and herbs. You can eat as much as you like: either a short à la carte dinner or a dinner consisting of more than twenty (!) courses.

Noteworthy?

Phones are not allowed inside Graphite, to help preserve a little of the mystique. Even better: this means you’ll have to talk to your table companions.
