Guacamole Cheese Now Exists
Nachos with guacamole and cheese are the ultimate snack for movie night or enjoying on the patio with your friends. A Dutch cheese company has now combined the two toppings: bright green guacamole cheese. Say what?
No more hassle dipping (cheese-covered) nachos into guacamole, only for half of it to fall off again. No, just grate this block over the top. This Gouda cheese is made by Dutch cheesemakers Daily Dairy and is blended with avocado, lime juice, chili, tomato, onion and garlic during the production process.
Cinco de Mayo
The cheese has existed since October last year, but it has now been picked up in America because, starting today, it is available at The Fresh Market, just in time for the Cinco de Mayo holiday. “Our customer saw the cheese at the trade show and thought it was perfect for the holiday, so now it’s on the market there. We made the cheese ourselves because guacamole pairs well with cheese and is a popular dip,” says Tom Sijl of Daily Dairy.

The guacamole cheese isn’t only available in America; it’s also sold in the Netherlands: at specialty cheese shop Gewoon Kaas at Middenweg 45 in Amsterdam, to be precise.
