Have: a magical butter knife

Anyone who has ever tried running a knife over a cold piece of butter to spread it on their bread (and who hasn’t?) knows: it doesn’t work. Unless…

You have a heated butter knife! The breakfast pro knows they simply need to take their butter out of the fridge in good time, but let’s be honest: we’re not all breakfast pros, and we don’t always have time to wait for our butter to reach room temperature.
Prototype
That’s why bread company Warburtons came up with a prototype butter knife a few years ago that heated up to 41.8 degrees, supposedly the perfect temperature for spreading butter.
By hand
The prototype seems to have died a quiet death, but luckily a good idea never comes alone, so there’s already another heated knife on the market: SpreadThat. It doesn’t need batteries or electricity, but heats itself using the warmth of your hand.
Buy
Want one? The knife is available on Amazon and costs you less than 20 euros. That means you can turn over in bed one more time in the morning.
