The hybrid snacks just keep coming. Are frikandel and spring rolls your two favorite snacks? Then this latest invention is right up your alley. Meet the Loempidel.

This new snack from Vanreusel is a cross between a spring roll and a frikandel. Under the crispy spring-roll wrapper, there are no glass noodles and vegetables, but one big, thick frikandel. Along with the frikandel, it also contains a sweet sauce, somewhat in the style of frikandel rolls with curry sauce. Vanreusel calls it the most innovative snack of recent years.
It certainly sounds very innovative and creative. We’re curious to see whether this snack is worth trying. The snack will be available at snack bars in the Benelux from March 14.
