The Dutch love getting together for drinks. Four in ten Dutch people enjoy drinks together every week, and 85% of the Dutch population believes that snacks should be served with drinks. I’m not sure exactly which study this comes from, but I believe it without question. So it was only a matter of time before someone went for the record ‘Drinks gathering with the most drinks boards’.
Record ‘Drinks gathering with the most drinks boards’
The initiative comes from botanical beer brewer Lowlander. Besides the beer being served, the location is also a real treat. Last year, the brewery opened the doors of Lowlander Botanical Bar & Restaurant in Amsterdam Noord, on the banks of the River IJ. Besides being a tasting room for all the beers, it is also the perfect spot for lunch, dinner and drinks.

B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Drinks Board)
The biggest drinks gathering will take place on Saturday 11 May. You have just one assignment: B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Drinks Board). Anyone who brings their own trusted drinks board can have it filled for free with bites from Lowlander. All that remains is to choose the botanical beers to go with it.
No drinks board with you? For €30, every drinks lover gets a filled drinks board and three beers of their choice. Guests who bring their own drinks board pay just €12.50 for the beers and, as mentioned, get their drinks board filled for free.</span Get yourself to record-holder with beers, bites and music?
