Tested: Albert Heijn’s new jalapeño cheese twist

Snackspert, the man who knows where to find the best (and worst..) snacks, was asked repeatedly whether he would test Albert Heijn’s new jalapeño cheese twist. Well, he’s not one to shy away from a challenge. Because he tested it, that jalapeño cheese twist. And this is his verdict.

Let’s get straight to the point: Snackspert is a fan of Lidl’s cheese twist. ‘The twist is nice and long, extra thick, truly Champions League level compared with other cheese twists from certain supermarkets.’ But Albert Heijn isn’t easily outdone. Will jalapeño, with its slightly fruity flavor and mild heat, provide the delicious kick that Albert Heijn’s cheese twist is still missing?

What does Snackspert think?
‘Lidl’s regular cheese twist is my absolute favorite, but I have to admit that this jalapeño cheese twist is a very close second. It definitely has some heat, which I love, but I do find the sweet flavor of this pepper a little too overpowering. A cheese twist is delicious because of the cheese, and that gets pushed slightly into the background—kind of like what’s happening with Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga right now. Or something. But I’m sure you know what I mean. Still, otherwise: a delicious savory pastry snack, well done.’ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ha, off to Albert Heijn, because this sounds good!
