Heineken brings the ‘experience’ to your living room with a new app
An ice-cold beer delivered right to your living room? You can do that with the Heineken NOW app, which is now called Drinkies. And that’s not all: Heineken is adding something extra, too—they’re bringing the experience to your living room.
With the app, all of Amsterdam can order ice-cold beers, soft drinks and snacks. When my friend from Amsterdam told me this, I was jealous. Because if, like me, you’re a lover of a delicious cold beer, Drinkies is your go-to.

Fortunately, from now on I no longer have to turn green with envy (except for the Heineken can, of course). Because it’s not just Amsterdam—now the rest of the Netherlands can order with the app, too. The only downside: while my Amsterdam-based friend gets her delivery immediately, non-Amsterdammers have to wait longer (read: until the next day) for their cold beer.

Anyway: hooray for a beer you can order from the sofa. And the best part is that you order it just like you would at the bar: by speaking. It’s possible to place an order on your phone using a Google voice command. Ordering a beer, but without the struggle of making eye contact with the bartender. Cheers to that!
