Here’s where to buy a bitterbal for your Christmas tree
Christmas trees decorated with standard lights, little Santas and baubles — that’s so last century. These days, we’d rather fill our tree with ornaments like a crompouce or an Espresso Martini. And in that category, I also have our all-time favorite snack for you: a bitterbal. But one for your Christmas tree!

Bitterbal for your Christmas tree: not expensive
One major downside of Christmas baubles, in my opinion, is that they’re always fairly pricey — and given how clumsy I am, that often means money down the drain very quickly, because I drop even the most beautiful round baubles from my hands in no time. These bitterballen cost 6.99 euros each, which I think is quite reasonable. Although ideally, I’d now like a complete snack Christmas tree with entire portions of bitterballen.
Just be careful with them, because they’re made of glass, not plastic. Of course, that looks much nicer — but it also makes them much more fragile. Oh, and unfortunately, they aren’t available online, only in stores; and their website states exactly which store still has them in stock. So act fast, because I’m guessing these bitterballen will fly off the shelves…
