Hero board for Cruijff

At Amsterdam’s Kaagman & Kortekaas, you eat wonderfully (read our review of the restaurant here), but this dish, number fourteen, really stands out.

Giel Kaagman, chef at K&K (read our review of the restaurant here), was not in the best of moods after Johan Cruijff’s death. To lift his spirits, he came up with this dish, a serious tribute to number fourteen. The dish is packed with references to football, Amsterdam, Barcelona and, of course, Cruijff himself. Who wouldn’t want to taste, among other things, fourteen types of tomato, Spanish octopus and ossenworst? Read more about this hero board on the Het Parool website.
