M&M’s unveils three new flavors

Besides the familiar yellow and brown bags of M&M’s, you can now also try three new varieties: Coffee Nut, Chili Nut and Honey Nut.

The famous chocolate candies are 75 years old this year, and to celebrate, three new flavors have been launched. M&M’s were specifically developed for soldiers fighting during World War II. The fighting men also needed chocolate, but it had to withstand rough handling and not melt so easily. After the war, M&M’s only became available on the consumer market.

The new flavors are not exactly revolutionary, but they are fun. Chili Nut is genuinely deliciously spicy, while the Honey Nut tastes more like sweet chocolate. The Coffee Nut does taste like coffee, but not as strongly as fans of this well-known combination may have hoped. One of these three flavors will be permanently added to the range; which one depends on the fans, who can vote here for their favorite. The M&M’s are not yet on shelves in the Netherlands.
