Hilarious: Dries Roelvink Gets Brutally Mocked by Hospitality Staff
By now, I think the whole of the Netherlands knows how Dries Roelvink tastes his wine: he really puts on a show. Well, you’re either an entertainer or you’re not, right? Although I think most people mainly find it a little pretentious, which doesn’t bother Dries at all. He just happily carries on tasting.
Much to the delight of the hospitality staff, because the last waiter he performed his little show for couldn’t take it anymore.

Dries can laugh about it later too, when the waiter in question has to walk away from the table because he can no longer contain his laughter. I genuinely wonder: is this an act by Dries and does he simply have a wonderful sense of self-mockery, or does he really see himself as an incredibly serious, knowledgeable wine taster who feels the need to assess a bottle of wine like that?
Either way, the result is hilarious. On TikTok, I saw that many people were already following his example, and I think I’ll give it a try too. Let’s see whether the hospitality staff will take me seriously.
