Pepsi launches Limited Edition hot dog sauce: Pepsi Colachup

Pepsi Colachup

The 4th of July, better known as the 4th of July, is a national holiday in the States. A day when hot dog lovers try to set a new world record for hot dog eating during the famous Nathan’s hot dog eating contest. Especially for this holiday and the eating contest, Pepsi is launching its own hot dog sauce: Pepsi Colachup.

Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is the most famous of the eating contests and has been organized annually since 1916. Thousands of people attend every year, and nearly 3 million people are glued to their televisions to watch live.

Pepsi’s Colachup hot dog sauce

According to the soft drink brand, there is nothing better than a cold Pepsi on the side with a hot dog (or 63, like the previous winner). But instead of having Pepsi with a hot dog, you can now also eat Pepsi on your hot dog. In addition to Pepsi as one of the main ingredients, Colachup is made with smoked tomatoes and a spice mix containing cinnamon, thyme, oregano and paprika, among other ingredients. Add a little onion powder and ketchup, and the result is a sweet, fresh sauce.

Limited Edition Pepsi Colachup

You won’t be able to get hold of a bottle in the Netherlands. For Americans themselves, the Limited Edition Pepsi Colachup is only available today, especially for the 4th of July. Perhaps this campaign is a trial, and bottles of the sauce will soon be displayed alongside the mayochup.
