A lovely summer game, a round of pétanque. A glass of bubbles on the side, throwing balls, chatting away, enjoying the sun… Yes, fun? Then it’s about to get even better, because you can now play the originally French and hugely popular ball sport on the roof of De Bijenkorf!
Throughout the entire month of August, the roof of De Bijenkorf Amsterdam will be transformed into a delightful summer hotspot to visit with family and friends.
Chandon Garden Spritz
Pétanque is always a good idea as far as I’m concerned, but with a glass of bubbles it’s just that little bit more fun. The new Chandon Garden Spritz is a sparkling wine with a special twist: a bitter orange liqueur has been added, made from oranges, herbs and spices. Bet that ball rolls even better after a glass of refreshing Spritz?
Time to reserve!
Quickly reserve your pétanque court for 60 minutes, so you’re guaranteed a spot. Use of the court costs 22.50 euros per person and includes a piccolo of Chandon Garden Spritz and a plateau fruits de mer from Fish Tales, a classic of French cuisine. The court can be rented for four to eight people.
Practice throw?
