From classic cocktails to cheese boards and making your own sugar-coated peanuts like these; from now on, this book will help you prepare the most delicious drinks and snacks in no time.

Ramon: “You probably know the red sugar-coated peanuts. Some people love them, while others don’t care for them at all. The red color comes from food coloring, which you can leave out. This recipe is for sugar-coated peanuts with a hint of cinnamon, which makes them delicious. Be careful during preparation, as the caramel is extremely hot.”
How to make the sugar-coated peanuts
- Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a large saucepan and add the water. Note: do not stir the sugar and water. Stirring causes sugar to stick to the sides of the pan, where it will burn before the rest of the sugar has turned into caramel.
- Heat the sugar mixture over low heat and wait until it boils. The sugar will first bubble and then subside.
- Use a brush and cold water to clean the sides of the pan. Heat the sugar mixture until it caramelizes and turns light brown. Make sure the sugar does not become too dark, as this will give the caramel a bitter taste.
- Add the peanuts to the caramel and stir well with a wooden spoon. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the sugar-coated peanuts over it in a single layer.
- Allow the sugar-coated peanuts to cool completely. Store them in an airtight container.
