How to make cruesli from your muesli

Accidentally bought muesli? What a bummer, huh. But don’t stress: here’s how to turn it into cruesli.

The other day it happened again: in my rushed inattention, I grabbed a pack of muesli from the shelf instead of the cruesli I was craving. Good grief, what a bummer. No crunch, no sweetness, just a pile of grains in your bowl of quark. And if you don’t eat quickly enough, that pile of grains turns into a soggy, heavy ball of grain cement in no time.
Litres of honey
Luckily, there is a solution: make cruesli out of it yourself. How do you do that? Very simple: preheat the oven to 175 °C, mix the muesli in a bowl with nuts, raisins (if they weren’t already included), a little oil (coconut or sunflower oil) and lots of honey. Really, don’t skimp on the honey. How generous you need to be depends on how much muesli you have, but let’s say that for 125 grams of muesli you should use around 75 ml of honey and about 3 tablespoons of oil.
Turn it over once
Once everything is mixed, spread it over the baking tray and put it in the oven for 15–25 minutes. Turn everything over halfway through, otherwise the raisins will burn.
Let it cool for a moment et voila: bye-bye muesli, hello cruesli!
