How to Make the Most Delicious Limoncello Ice Pops
Inspired by the Flügel ice pop that Lauretta discovered recently, I went looking for my personal favorite: limoncello ice cream. The answer was just around the corner: ice cream parlor Monte Pelmo sells limoncello sorbet. Incredibly delicious, but my search doesn’t end there, because: is there also limoncello water ice?
The answer is obviously yes. In fact, the same brand as the Flügel ice pop has it in its range. But then the food snob in me comes out: I want limoncello ice pops made with my favorite limoncello brand: Villa Massa (not sponsored).
Long live the worldwide web, where I soon discovered that Villa Massa has a water ice pop recipe online. Time to try it out.
How to make Villa Massa’s limoncello ice pops:
- Mix the water with the lemon juice, two tablespoons of sugar, the Villa Massa limoncello and the grated lemon zest.
- Pour the mixture into special ice pop molds, then place them in the freezer and wait until they have completely set. Ready? Dig in!
Easy does it, and believe me: it’s definitely worth trying: refreshingly sweet, ice-cold and addictively delicious. But as the snob that I am, I also love convenience alongside my limoncello and am more impatient than is good for me (and those around me). So here’s an appeal to Villa Massa: please bring these limoncello ice pops to market! And make it now. This is a vacation in an ice pop, and surely we all want that right now? At any rate, I’m already your biggest fan (and customer).
