How to make your butter spreadable

It remains a tricky problem: you want to make a sandwich with sprinkles, but you forgot to take the butter out of the fridge. Stubborn as you are, you still tackle the rock-hard butter, resulting in a broken sandwich and a lot of frustration. We have the ultimate hack for all your butter struggles.

We previously wrote about how to make your hard butter spreadable with a grater, but this might be even easier. All you need is water and a glass or cup. Place a small piece of butter on a plate or board. Boil the water and pour it into the glass. Empty the glass, dry it and place it over the butter for two to three minutes. The heat from the glass softens the butter, allowing you to spread a thick layer on your sandwich effortlessly.
