Hungry and no money? Then you’re allowed to steal food in Italy without being punished. 

A homeless man stole a piece of cheese and a pack of sausages in February 2012. At the checkout, he paid only for a pack of breadsticks. A customer behind him noticed his attempted theft and warned the shop staff. Because the man was hungry, Italy’s highest court acquitted him. According to the judge, he had acted out of necessity.

Bright pink mayo
