Ice cream or cake on a stick?

They look just like ice creams. But anyone who has ever tasted one knows that Instagrammer Raymond’s creations are simply little cakes. On a stick, though. Perhaps a little less refreshing, but definitely a delight to look at.

Cake on a stick—is it starting to ring a bell? It immediately makes us think of the cake pop: a gooey ball of plain cake on a lollipop stick, with a coating of colored chocolate and sprinkles. About five years ago, it was wildly popular. Raymond is essentially making a kind of cake pop 2.0. Or as he calls it himself: a cakepopsicle: a little cake in the shape of an ice cream, like a Magnum, on a stick.

Dream creations
Raymond seems to be able to do anything. He makes Instagrammable cakes in the shape of animals and flowers, or turns them into little works of art with patterns. Every single one is decorated with real flower petals, tiny pieces of gold leaf, or carefully finished with colored chocolate. Scroll through his Instagram. The photos of his creations are truly dreamy. Is it too warm for cake? Don’t worry: every now and then you’ll also spot a homemade ice pop—an actual one. And those are just as breathtakingly beautiful.
