Ice cream pizza rolls: how do you even come up with that?
This video of rolled ice went viral, but whether the creator was all that happy about it… The reactions were, to put it mildly, not positive, and here’s why:
Rolled ice cream is a Thai method of preparing ice cream in which it is made on the spot at high speed on a cold plate. The ice cream is then scraped into rolls on the plate and served. Around 2015, rolled ice became a trend in the United States and other Western countries. But this rolled-ice maker from Germany takes things a little too far.
In the video, you can see a piece of pizza (with some seriously rough chopping) being incorporated into the ice cream. Once rolled and placed in the container, the ice cream is topped with pepperoni, cherry tomatoes and tomato sauce. People are horrified by the creation in the comments. ‘That poor pizza didn’t deserve this…’, ‘You have created a way of destroying pizza’ and ‘The people who hate pineapples on pizza and those who love it need to stop fighting and join forces against this abomination’, are just a few of the reactions.
