Join The Guinness Book of Records’ largest mussel preparation in the world
For all mussel lovers: celebrate the region’s biggest mussel feast at Eurobrouwers Schiedam. 1000 kilos of Zeeland mussels from sustainable farming, 3000 litres of freshly tapped beer straight from the brewery, folk singers and conviviality, with young and old eating at long tables: it’s time for the Eurobrouwers Moulade again! And this time with The Guinness Book of Records’ largest mussel preparation in the world world-record attempt.
Saturday 29 March 2025 is the day; the biggest mussel feast in the Netherlands, Schiedam’s biggest village festival, the National Moulade! The previous editions sold out well in advance, and this even bigger edition promises to be busy once again. This will be a very special edition: covered in a large beer hall and featuring a world record in mussels—bigger, wilder and with even more moulade!
This is the fourth time that tout the Netherlands can discover the originally northern French mussel feast, in which traditional festivities are enriched with a contemporary Schiedam Eurobrouwers twist. Expect an adventure full of flavour explosions, Eurobrouwers house beers, live music and unforgettable moments.
Mussels à la française
What can you expect? Mussels, of course! But not just any mussels. The seafood is prepared on large plates over an open fire and cooked in their own beer, wine and a generous splash of Ricard. Naturally, they are served in the traditional way with French fries. Although the Eurobrouwers Mussel Feast is inspired by a mussel feast from the village of Esquéhéries in northern France, this edition has been given its own twist with original recipes.
More than just food
The mussel feast is not complete without long tables filled with conviviality, the scent of sizzling mussels over an open fire and the sound of live music. Exactly as the feast is meant to be. It is a village festival in the broadest sense of the word. After dinner at the long tables, everyone can show off their best dance moves on the dance floor.
Something for everyone
Strange but true: not everyone is equally fond of mussels. Fortunately, that is no problem during the event. In addition to the delicious shellfish, a veg and non-veg BBQ menu is also available. The dessert and a snack are included in the price, but drinks and Eurobrouwers beers are at your own expense. In any case, everything is in place to make it a fantastic party.
