It all started with an April Fools’ Day prank by Lidl. Last year, they announced on their Facebook page that they were adding a new salad to their range, made with the Netherlands’ most popular snack. But alas, April Fools! The result: disappointed people everywhere.

But then Jumbo stepped in. They saw a golden opportunity and turned the brilliant idea into reality. From now on, you can actually buy the frikandel speciaal salad at the supermarket! Are you crazy about goalposts overloaded with curry, mayo and onions? Then this is definitely worth trying!

The hugely popular salad has already sold out at many Jumbo stores. But don’t worry, because Jumbo promises that the product will soon be available in stores again.
