What’s new?

Five years after the opening of &samhoud places, the interior of the two-star restaurant has been renovated and the restaurant is continuing under the name &moshik. The chef, originally from Israel, made a name for himself with his innovative cuisine and was once the figurehead of molecular gastronomy. The interior has changed drastically, and Moshik now has his own name on the façade.

What’s on the menu?

Ingenious eclectic creations combining an extensive repertoire of techniques with ingredients and cuisines from around the world. Such as a tuna maki on a meringue made from sushi rice with foie gras. Or a perfect egg; an egg yolk cooked at 62 degrees Celsius, with a cream of petit gris snails, cauliflower and Moshik’s version of ajo blanco (cold Spanish almond-garlic soup).

What’s striking?

After the renovation, various intimate alcoves and secluded benches were created, offering views across the entire city. The eye-catcher in the interior is the red-and-green aquarium filled with tiny jellyfish. Oh yes, do bring some money. Moshik freely mixes and matches ingredients such as caviar, truffle and foie gras. The chef’s extensive eight-course menu costs €170.- (excluding the €105.- wine pairing).
