Limited-edition bars from Tony Chocolonely become part of the regular range

Were you crying too when these limited editions from Tony Chocolonely disappeared? Don’t worry, because guess who’s back!  

Two new Tony bars

Okay, nothing beats the orange Tony bar with caramel and sea salt, but there are so many other delicious treats in the range from the Amsterdam chocolatiers. For example, the dark almond sea salt and the milk popcorn discodip bars. These limited editions from Tony Chocolonely sold so well that they are now part of the regular range. The popcorn one is an Exclusive, which means you can find it at De Bijenkorf and Wereldwinkels, among others. The dark chocolate with salt and almond is a Classic, so you can simply pick it up at Albert Heijn.

Large terrace in Utrecht closes

This year, you won’t be able to enjoy your first beer in the sun on a terrace at Ledig Erf in Utrecht. According to local residents, the terraces caused a great deal of noise pollution, and they had had enough. The court was brought in and decided that the terraces had to go. Good news for the neighbors, but bad news for the entrepreneurs on the square. According to Stelios Metaxas of restaurant Stelios, they really cannot survive without a terrace. All the entrepreneurs must now submit a new permit application, but they are hopeful that they will reach an agreement with the municipality in time.

Morgan Freeman goes after a cookie

An awards ceremony like the Oscars lasts forever and then an empty stomach starts to beckon. Morgan Freeman, who was allowed to present the award for Best Picture, suffered from this too. How did he satisfy his hunger?  He reached for host Chris Rock’s Girl Scout cookies. During the evening, Rock had called on everyone to buy the cookies for charity, and he had bought a box himself too. A reconstruction: Freeman eyes comedian Chris Rock’s Girl Scout cookies for a few seconds, grabs two cookies, quickly takes a bite, and then walks off the stage with his prize.
