London tip: scrambled eggs at Granger & Co.

London is bursting with great places for breakfast and brunch, so getting a delicious egg is absolutely no difficult task. But the scrambled eggs I had at Granger & Co. were so delicious that they deserve a mention of their own.

The man behind this establishment is Australian TV chef Bill Granger. On screen, he may seem very cheerful, but the scrambled eggs served here are serious business. I could already see the egg through the window while I was standing in line (which is very normal in London; come early to avoid long waiting times) and fell in love instantly.

So fluffy
The fluffiest egg I had ever seen, piped into a little mound as if it were whipped cream. When you cut into it, you can see the layers lying beautifully on top of one another. The sourdough bread served with it is crispy, and from the enormous selection of sides you could order, I chose bacon. And there was the ideal breakfast.
Granger & Co. has three London locations in King’s Cross, Notting Hill and Clerkenwell. They are also open for dinner, but I especially can’t wait to sink my teeth into this egg again.
Make it yourself
How the egg appeared on my plate in such a perfect shape remains a mystery. But in this video, Bill explains how you can make deliciously fluffy scrambled eggs yourself.
