Look-alike nuggets at Lidl

Chicken nuggets are a staple for us whenever we visit McDonald’s, but from now on you can also find a box of these crispy chicken snacks at Lidl. Or rather, a look-alike

Okay, they’re not exactly the same, but they come pretty close to the real thing. The chicken nuggets are from Chef Select, and you can either deep-fry them or put them in the oven. The Lidl nuggets were tested by a German food reviewer, so check out this video.

Two peas in a pod

According to him, the nuggets taste very similar to those from McDonald’s. And judging by what we see in the video, we think they also look exactly like our favorite bite. This was probably at least partly the supermarket’s intention, since the box also looks suspiciously similar to McDonald’s packaging.

Where to get them?

Each box contains ten chicken nuggets, curry sauce and sweet-and-sour dipping sauce and costs € 1.90, which is considerably cheaper than McDonald’s. Initially available only in Germany and England, but they have already been spotted in Dutch stores too.
