Man wants to blow up McDonald’s because they forgot the dipping sauce

Yeah, that Maccie can really set people off, it’s just unreal. I can kind of understand it, though. If I really want a Big Mac on a rough Sunday and have been fantasizing about it all day, I really can’t handle getting one that has clearly been sitting around just a little too long. Not that I’d complain about it, except in my head to myself.

But some people really can’t handle a setback like that. Take the US state of Iowa, for example, where a 42-year-old man discovered at home that they had forgotten the sauce for his chicken nuggets. OUTRAGEOUS! And what do you do at the Maccie?

You blow the whole place up

Well, that was what he intended to do. Once the dissatisfied customer got home, discovered the tragedy of the missing dipping sauce and picked up the phone to give those McDonald’s employees a proper piece of his mind, he announced that he was going to blow up their restaurant. That didn’t go down too well with the employee, who called the police.

In the end, the man managed to convince the police that he really hadn’t intended to do it, but that did involve spending a night in jail, after which he still had to appear before a judge to explain himself in a little more detail.

So it ended with a whimper. Whether the man eventually got his sauce is unknown, by the way, but I hope he learns to deal with setbacks a little better in the future. And next time, don’t take it out on that poor Maccie (and its employees). They get us through enough difficult times as it is.
