Martha Stewart uses ‘small iceberg’ for cocktails and receives heaps of criticism
Martha Stewart, who you probably know from her recipes, went on a dream trip: from Iceland to Greenland. Sounds amazing to me, especially when you do it on such a luxury cruise ship as the one she’s sailing on. And what goes with a trip like that? Exactly, an alcoholic beverage. And Martha wanted hers as ice-cold as possible.
And to serve her cocktails as cold as possible, a ‘small iceberg was captured’, she wrote on Instagram. And not everyone appreciated that.

There are also more comments to be found under her post, such as: ‘Martha, the ice caps are melting—don’t put them in your drink’ (which, honestly, made me laugh). The ship Martha Stewart sailed on belonged to Swan Hellenica Cruises, who were unavailable for comment. Their website does state that they take sustainability extremely seriously, and that’s what many of Stewart’s followers are criticizing her over as well.
And Martha herself? She hasn’t responded, and I think there’s very little chance she will, because of course she’s simply enjoying her ice-cold cocktail…
